Survival

Descripción

With the aim of offering a stable space for interaction for those who wish to promote and strengthen survival analysis within the field of biostatistics, BIOSTATNET has created the Thematic Group on Survival Analysis. This group was created with the aim of promoting the exchange of knowledge, sharing methodological and applied advances, generating specialized training and facilitating the implementation of joint initiatives. It also aims to make the work of the Network in this field more visible and to consolidate national and international collaboration networks.

Coordinadores

  • Klaus Langohr
  • Jacobo de Uña Álvarez

Líneas de investigación

  • Organization of scientific sessions on survival analysis at the biannual meetings of BIOSTATNET, to publicize the work of the members of the group and promote exchange with other researchers in the Network.
  • Celebration of thematic scientific sessions, on a biannual basis, in the years in which the general meetings of the Network are not held. These conferences will focus on methodological and applied aspects of survival analysis, contributing to strengthen scientific and personal links among the members of the group.
  • Periodic virtual seminars (with an estimated frequency of three per year), adjustable according to availability of speakers and interest of the members, in which work in progress or completed, both by researchers of the group and relevant guests, will be presented.
  • Development and sharing of resources, such as training materials, survival analysis codes or reproducible examples, to facilitate the adoption of good practices and strengthen the methodological capabilities of the Network in this field.
