The Navarra node is made up of researchers whose lines of research fall within the field of disease-mapping, a particular area of spatial and spatio-temporal statistics that allows the mapping of the incidence, mortality or prevalence of different diseases and which, for several decades, has been a fundamental part of research in public health, epidemiology and the study of diseases in human populations.
Principal Investigator: Jaione Etxeberria Andueza (Universidad Pública de Navarra (UPNA))

One of the main lines of work of the group focuses on the study and proposal of different disease mapping techniques that allow to geographically represent relative risks and incidence/mortality rates/ of one or several diseases, both communicable and non-communicable, to elucidate their spatial evolution over time and to detail whether the evolution is the same or different by gender, age groups and birth cohorts.
