Zaragoza

The main lines of research that the Zaragoza node contributes to the network are related to Bayesian spatio-temporal modelling, the approach to research in the field of climate change and the development of free software that implements statistical methods (see poster).

In addition to collaborating as statistical expert support in medical research with specialists in Ophthalmology, Physiatry and others, some lines of research, somewhat more detailed, are:

• Modelling of climatic and meteorological signals, with geo-referenced series, to characterise their distribution and generate projections of extreme phenomena such as records, percentiles or excesses over an extreme threshold.
• Development of statistical models to help characterise the ratios or speed of displacement in cellular assays in vitro or in silico.
• Multivariate analysis of large volumes of data associated with brain activity, with spatio-temporal characteristics.
• As a result of these lines of research, statistical methods implemented in R language have been developed, which have led to the creation of free software libraries in public repositories.
